Ferrite filter is a passive electrical component made of ferrite in the form of a ring, used as a filter to suppress high-frequency interference in electrical circuits. The ferrite ring increases the inductance of the wire section passing through it by several hundred (up to thousands) times, which provides the desired effect. Most often they are in the form of cylinders or parallelepipeds; can be removable with latches or non-removable molded. Ferrite filters are used as additional external filters, usually for devices with long connection cables.
